How to use the defibrillators
Each venue of the Surfcoast Tennis club has a St Johns Ambulance Defibrillator installed in case of someone requiring defibrillation.
Below is a St John Ambulance demonstration video on how to operate the defibrillator and when it would be required.
In the case of a patient being unresponsive and not breathing, an ambulance (000) should be called immediately.
Please be aware the defibrillator will not shock a patient if it is not required. It will analyse the patient and instruct you how to commence CPR if it is required.
