The Surfcoast Tennis Club community came together on Saturday 2nd May 2026 for a night full of laughs, friendly rivalry, great prizes, and plenty of surprises. Raising close to $1000 towards the essential upgrade of our Torquay court lighting. The sub-committee of Emma, Mark, Mike and Shelley put together a fantastic evening. Special thanks to them and for the local Torquay businesses that supported the night by donating prizes including: Needs Essential Torquay, Linen House Torquay, Ghanda Clothing, Corks Crew Cellars, Saltair Day Spa, Doc Hughes & Frankie Say Relax Torquay. Congratulations to ‘The Aceholes’ for winning the night!

Surf Coast AO 1-point Qualifier - 30th November 2025

Jackson Varney and Tom Cullens played off to determine the winner of the Surf Coast AO 1-point slam qualifier

We had 70 registrations for our Surf Coast AO 1-point slam qualifier, aged from 10 years to 70 years. It was a wet day but lots of fun and everyone played with good community spirit. Thank you to Jackson and JV Tennis Academy for running the event with help from our Surf Coast Tennis Club committee volunteers.

Jackson Varney was the winner of the event and played in the State Championship representing the Surfcoast Tennis Club on 20th December 2025.
